Birds and Flowers

A few weeks ago, I found this silly looking little flower in the dollar section of Joann's. I knew that with a little paper, Mod Podge, and distressing, I could really make it bloom.

The next transformation began when a co-worker gave me a Costco-sized tin of Pirouettes. Husband ate the vanilla ones, and I ate the chocolate. When they were gone, I had the perfect tin for a little bedside trashcan for tissues.
With some book pages, scrapbooking paper, and Mod Podge, I gave it a whole new look. I love the way it turned out!

I linked this post up to Thirty Handmade Days.

To me, that little flower (which is an adorable transformation!) is crying out for a little clock face in its middle!
